Your tasks
Maintain financial accounting: You are responsible for the monthly and annual financial statements, manage asset accounting, create CO internal orders and WBS elements or process expense requests. You are the contact person for the auditors in the event of financial audits.
Support the Controlling team: You will create ad hoc, monthly and ICT project reports and take on tasks relating to projections and the budget. You will also carry out factual checks on purchase requisitions.
Participate in projects: You will contribute your skills to the financial management of the diverse IT projects or take on tasks in projects to further develop the department's accounting and controlling.

Experience: You have several years of professional experience in a similar function and are familiar with the SAP FI/CO modules; knowledge of the BW and MM modules is an advantage.
Personality: You have the ability to work independently and to a high standard in a dynamic environment. You are a convincing personality with a service-oriented mindset who enjoys achieving goals as part of a team and with people from other specialist areas.
Education: You have a federal certificate as a specialist in finance and accounting or a comparable qualification.

IT BS is the internal IT service provider of the Canton of Basel-Stadt and is part of the Department of Finance. The department provides the collaboration and communication infrastructure for mobile and stationary IT workstations and the associated support. In addition, IT BS is also continuously developing various services for the public in the area of eGovernment and digitalization. Functioning IT is central to the efficient operation of the cantonal administration.
Within the department, you are the competent point of contact for accounting. Embedded in the Controlling specialist team, which provides mutual technical support and manages tasks together, you are responsible for your own area of responsibility and coordinate tasks with the Finance Department's Finance Service Center and the Purchasing & Procurement team. You will enjoy contributing your knowledge and using your expertise to further expand the financial know-how within the organization.
